There are just so many things you can do in the island of Los Santos. But there’s always more to add, and one of the main updates in recent years was the introduction of bunkers with the Gunrunning update, which allows you to become an arms dealer and run the base of your dreams. Where should you start your venture, though? The first decision that you have to make is purchasing a bunker. There are many that come at different prices, and they offer unique features (albeit some are just environmental). In any case, that’s where you’ll be spending most of your time while running your new business. So I’ve compiled & ranked a list of bunkers in the game for you to get a better idea of where to start. Ready to set up your digital dynasty?
10. Raton Canyon Bunker
This bunker has a vehicle capacity of 3, and it is located inside an area that the Federal government protects. You know what that means right? You won’t be bothered by any pesky intruders (except perhaps some online madmen). The bunker provides you with enough coverage to start creating some weapons and run your missile factories with tranquility.
9. Lago Zancudo Bunker
Located just near the shore of the Lago Zancudo, this fantastic bunker is well-hidden and in a perfect location to get your business started. It costs just over a million and a half dollars, so get that cash ready!
8. Chumash Bunker
Located in the not-so-peaceful west region of Los Santos, the Chumash Bunker also has a fantastic lakeside view that you’ll only have access to once you’re outside your weapons facility. Some people might say that it’s a waste of time to have such a fantastic sight nearby when you’re unable to see it. But hey – to each their own.
7. Route 68 Bunker
This one goes for almost two million dollars, so we’re approaching the priciest bunkers on the list. I like it very much mainly because you can find it at the west of the airport, which means that you’ll have quick access to any of your ships as soon as you leave the deep underground facility where your weapons of war are concealed. The overall outside look of the bunker is pretty average. But the bunker itself is as cool as they come (as all these bunkers are).
6. Grapeseed Bunker
Located just north of the Alamo Sea, the Grapeseed Bunker is also very close to the desert airport in the uppermost part of the map. It’s also on a bit more of a quiet location, which will hopefully keep you away from other annoying players that might be looking to end your peaceful life as an arms dealer. In any case, the overall area is as centric as can be since it’s located in a good part of northern Los Santos.
5. Grand Senora Desert Bunker
This is another one located in the desert area in the northernmost part of the map, as are most of the bunkers actually. If you’re keen to claim this one you will need to pay upwards of two million dollars for it. Hey, I never told you that becoming a prominent arms dealer and running a business that spans across the entire planet was going to be cheap. So the Grand Senora Dessert bunker is strategically located near the airbase. If you happen to get busted by the CIA or the FBI you’ve got a solid getaway plan. Just run as fast as you can, get on a plane, and fly off over the horizon.
4. Grand Senora Oilfield Bunker
This one is located just a few meters away from the Dessert Bunker, but it’s even better hidden than the last one – you can find it on the oilfields! I mean, no one in the sanity of their mind would build an underground weapons factory in a place as volatile as a dessert, right? That’s what we want the authorities to think! It’s time to get that business started and watch the end of the world unfold.
3. Thompson Scrapyard Bunker
Some people say that this bunker has awful spawn points. But hey, I like it. I think it’s a cool place all around and a very nice location near the action, too. It’s located just near the highway, which gives you access to a speedy getaway route if you happen to need one. Remember that it isn’t only about running away from the authorities; other jealous players are sure to go around causing you trouble. Kill them or run away – the choice is yours!
2. Smoke Tree Road Bunker
If you want a bunker that’s nearby the airport as well as nearby a highway, then this is probably the one you’ll want to get. Is it expensive? It sure as all hells is. However, you pay for quality. This one is one of the best when it comes to its location as well as the scenery that surrounds it. I’m not much of a nature-friendly person, so being around such a desertic place is often enough to keep me happy.
1. Farmhouse Bunker
I’m adding this one as my first pick simply because the location seems to suit a bunker the most. I mean sure, it’s very clean and gives you good spawns. However the fact that it’s in an abandoned farmhouse just makes it a perfect location for a bunker. I would go after places like this if I was a real agent of the federal government looking for potential places where criminals build bases. And I know real life isn’t anything like Designated Survivor or Breaking Bad, but let’s just imagine that it was for the purposes of this two paragraphs.
